Follow The Fun

Sometimes it's not so clear what to do next, or which way to go, or where, when, why, how! I have finally gotten into the regular practice of asking my higher self for guidance in scenarios like these, and she almost always answers:

Follow the fun

Ok! But sometimes it can be confusing when we are told (and sold) that fun is so many different things. And sometimes when I choose to do something that's "fun", later I'll realize that it wasn't really that fun - like I definitely could have chosen a better option. The fail-proof way I have learned how to tell what is going to be the most fun is:

Feel the body ZING

Bringing attention to my heart or stomach I am able to tune into what zings, which feels like a positive, playful, or even exciting energy surge throughout my being. Sometimes it's really subtle, and in these moments I take a deep breath and focus so totally on my heart or stomach to feel the skin tingle in my torso around it. Then I ask the question again and can usually sense enough zing to make the decision.

The crazy thing is, IT ALWAYS WORKS! When I follow the fun I have experiences that surprise and delight me in their awesomeness! Like seeing a shooting star or an owl taking flight, running into a friend I haven't seen in a long time, or an opportunity appearing that would have never otherwise been in my field. It's amazing! I have practiced this on tiny things like what to eat for dinner, or which store to wander in when exploring a new street, and on big things like when to move to a new town, or to say yes or no to a job. It also works the other way - when I choose to not follow the zing I learn why pretty quickly that it was not the best choice. These experiences have been just as important for me in teaching me to trust the body zing.

I am currently traveling in Europe, now in Copenhagen, and enjoying the beauty of my 4th spring this season! Georgia/Florida, NYC, Bavaria, and now Copenhagen! Following the zing when I travel serves me so well! Last night as I was about to turn to go home on a sunset walk, I took a last minute turn to see a part of the park I like and there was a giant white and black rabbit munching on the grass staring at me!

May you follow the fun when you're in green sloping fir forests, or anywhere else along your path, picking the perfect path for every step you take!

Huge flowers and munching bunnies,

Lucinda
